Lithuanian Easter Fair 2009

Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK hostied a Lithuanian Easter Fair 2009, which was running from 26th to 28th of March in the ‘The Grove‘ Stratford.

That, despite typical London weather, was an ideal family out as Lithuanian souvenirs, food, traditional entertainment and national sport - basketball was a real Lithuanian cultural experience. More than 20 traders were serving visiting Lithuanian community and passers-by.

Lithuanian Easter Fair opening saw welcoming speeches by representatives from Lithuanian Embassy and LCCUK. Children and adult choires, national folk ensambles were performing during this warmth-spreading event. Before that, everyone was invited to compete with Lithuanian basketball players.

"We are more than happy to see craftsmen, coming from Lithuania just for this event. We appreciate their efforts because without them, Easter fair wouldn't be so national", - Darius Paškauskas, President of LCCUK, said.
